Timenow was founded in 1996 by Sergio Mello, a Civil Engineer, and Francisco Carvalho, an Electrical Engineer. With years of experience in major capital projects, they recognized the need to professionalize project management activities in the momentum of technological changes in the second half of the 90s decade.

Inspired by the launch of the first Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) by PMI in 1996, the spread of the internet, and the advent of new advanced project management softwares, they envisioned a disruptive project management company. Starting with a focus on training experts, they quickly expanded to managing the most complex and large-scale projects.

Over nearly three decades, Timenow has grown into a global organization with more than 2,400 experts operating across five continents. We’ve managed over 20,000 projects, totaling $35 billion in Capex, and have become industry leaders in sectors like Pulp and Paper, where we managed the construction of 5 of the 10 largest mills in the world.
